A beginner linocut workshop Wednesday, May 23rd, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Materials provided. No experience necessary.
Linocut is a relief print process where an image is created by cutting away the surface of a block of linoleum; after cutting, the surface of the block is rolled with ink, which is then transferred to paper. The process is somewhat similar to a rubber stamp but allows for larger and more detailed images.
During this single night workshop, participants will have the opportunity to both carve and print their own linocut. All tools and materials will be provided.
Date: Wednesday, May 23rd, 6:30 to 9:30 pm.
